How to Store THCA Flower

By Vault Extracts, Biochemistry Engineer

Good flower degrades fast if it's stored wrong. A few basics keep it fresh for months.

Cool, dark, and airtight

Heat, light, and oxygen are what break down cannabinoids and terpenes. Store flower in an airtight glass container (mason jars are ideal) somewhere cool and dark — a cabinet or drawer, not a windowsill.

Mind the humidity

Aim for ~55–62% relative humidity. Two-way humidity packs (like Boveda) hold flower in that range so it never dries out or gets damp and moldy.

Avoid these

Skip plastic baggies (they cause static and degrade trichomes), the freezer (freezing makes trichomes brittle), and grinding in advance (ground flower dries out fast). Grind right before you use it.
